Process & Production

1)Collodion (a viscous fluid obtained by dissolving cellulose nitrate with alcohol and ether) is poured onto a glass plate.
2) The plate is immersed in a silver nitrate bath.
3) After exposure, the plate was developed using ferrous ammonium sulphate.
4) the plate was placed in water, fixed with sodium thiosulphate
5) A coating (shellac and sandarac dissolved in alcohol with lavender oil) was applied to protect the emulsion.
