| Experimental tile made by painting replica yellow pigments from a 17th-century Italian source over a powdered white glaze |
Process & Production
| First the white tin-opacified glaze was applied as water suspension to the tile by dipping. It was left to dry for several hours before the previously made pigment was applied on the glaze by means of a brush, in water suspension. The pigment was left to dry again and finally the tile was fired for one hour at 1000°C with a ramp of 120°C/hour |
