Float stitch sample #1

Experiment

This sample is made on a digital knitting machine (Stoll flat bed, 12-gauge) experimenting with texture and ornamentation by combining double-weft knitting, jacquard and float stitch. The effect of the texture is highlighted by the yarn being extra fine Merino wool giving a more mate expression in the areas of float/purl stitch than the face loop of knit stitch.
