Process & Production

This example is the final piece, however the outcome was not what was expected, as it got a air bobble.

4 float glass of 4mm were used

• 0055 G0- Optul was mix with silkscreen oil on a glass palette. After it was applied on the glass surface with different spatulas, as a painting. It was used in 1 glasses
• 0098 G0 Otul was mix with silkscreen oil on a glass palette. After it was applied on the glass surface with different spatulas, as a painting. It was used in one glass
the pieces where place in the oven as: 1) 0098; 2) 0055, 3)transparent glass, 4) 0098.
It was place with ceramic paper on the bottom (the paper must be fired first on a temperature that is 10ºC higher and the temperature used for the glass sample. In this case it was 810ºC). The final temperature was 800ºC.

It was put on the kiln one glass at a time –two float with 0055 frits, one single float glass, another float glass with the pink frits and finally the float glass with 0076

The final temperature was 800ºC.

Fusing and slumping were done in one time. The slumping was made using the ceramic paper

Next set was to put a resist foil on the glass surface to sandblast. It was sandblasted to break the bobble an also 2 times to be able to get 2 different depths.
