Process & Production

Sandblasting technique on flash glass.

An acrylic plastic sheet resist was applied onto the surface of the glass and the pattern laid underneath the glass to see where to cut the pattern for the sandblast. The pattern was gently cut with a knife and the acrylic sheet removed from the areas to be sandblasted. The sample glass was sandblasted to remove the flash colour and expose the clear glass layer underneath.
