Granite Glaze

This was a glaze I developed during my time at Art School back in 2017. Taking inspiration of Aberdeen as a city and also the county. I wanted to be able to collect my own materials and with Aberdeen known as the Granite City.. I wanted to develop a glaze using granite. While taking the city main material, I needed something else in the glaze to balance it so using Seaweed ash (I collected seaweed and burnt it to create the ash) as the flux in the glaze. Over several months of testing and experimenting, I developed the glaze as you see.
