Pattern inspired by traditional welsh textile design (artist’s mother’s skirt)

Process & Production

Rectangular piece of mild steel sandblasted to clean sprayed on both sides with WG Ball wet process enamel ground coat and fired.
Processes:
• white enamel sprayed on one side and fired
• stencil design created in excel, printed and transferred to silkscreen 77 mesh.
• Green enamelling (Degussa firing paint) mixed with screen print medium and screen printed onto sample and fired.

All firings at 820C for 2 mins.
