Specific Technique

Silk yarns dip dyed with acid dyes are used to create a faded effect. They are dip dyed twice to create firstly green, then pink, ends left white, woven with correlating colours to the dip dye warp. Gold supplementary warp is used over top in an alternating blocked grid pattern. Blocked threading makes the fabric double sided.
