Process & Production

  • This piece is composed of a 380mm strip of 4mm (water jet cut) float glass.
  • Before firing, the surface was manipulated first by sandblasting, and then screen printing with low fired white glass enamel.
  • The curve was formed by balancing the glass over a former in the kiln, before having a long, slow firing between 580ºC – 610º
