Technology

A piece of jewellery where technology and craftsmanship were combined. Shapes were drawn in Adobe Illustrator and cut out from steel, using waterjet cutting. Wood is shaped using saws. The parts were combined with ball bearings and joined with pop rivets. The red rope formed a line around the wearer’s neck. Ball bearing makes the pendant tactile and moveable. Materials: Plantation-teak, steel, polyester rope, silver, aluminium, silver (925).
