Process & Production

The process involves wood carving of a new section of oak leaf moulding, then a plastic mould was made and used to cast further lengths which made up the rest of the pattern. Saves time in carving the whole item. The pattern has a moulding box fitted around it for the foundry to use to make the mould for casting in metal.
