Process & Production

1) The paper is coated with a mixture of iron and platinum salts (ferric oxalate and potassium tetrachloroplatinate (II)).
2) The sensitiser is applied to the paper, placed in contact with a negative, and exposed to ultraviolet light or sunlight.
3) A bath is made with potassium oxalate
4) 3 cleaning baths with dilute hydrochloric acid
5) And a final wash in water
