Images show the two-part silicone and plaster mold that was used to pour wax into which contained a “message” made from plaster and silica refractory mold material. These waxes were then invested in more refractory material and then steamed out to reveal the hollow cavity inside with the “message” core. Glass was then added into the reservoirs and then the molds were fired within a kiln to melt the glass into them. Once cooled, the image shows the glass melted into the molds with the message core visible inside. The refractory mold was then broken open and the message cores cleaned out to create the hollow.
