The work depicts a figure linked to the tradition of the city of Matera: The general of the “Festa della Bruna”, which takes place every July 2 in the city of the Sassi, is the one who, with the sound of his trumpet, starts the festivities.
Process & Production
Work carved on linoleum sheet, then inked by roller and passed inside a hand press. The process allows the ink to transfer from the linoleum matrix to the etching paper.
