Culture & Context

Taking inspiration from a trip to Cuba and the architecture there. Striking juxtapositions feature in the mottled worn-away surfaces and the extravagant façade on buildings.

Smooth woven areas are accented with  intricate detail. Designed with Mid Century modern spaces in mind, high ceilings, mixture of materials used and playful pops of colour

Process & Production

Created on AVL Dobby handloom using twills, supplementary warps, all hand-dyed wools using acid dyes

Recipe Details

1,7 twills (+ inverse) 232 ends, point and straight draft, tapestry techniques, Donegal Yarns Kilcarra Tweed warp (Ecru and Ardarra).

Chunky bouclé, soft mohair, dense tweed
