Artist Statement

I have had my work selected in galleries such as The Roger Billcliffe Gallery, professional events, Elements’ in Edinburgh ACJ’ at the Anne Morgan Gallery, Crafts Council, New York. I was shortlisted for the Creative Skills Award: Jewellery Skills of the Year Award in 2015 and have received several awards from the Scottish Arts Council, Scottish Development Agency and Duncan of Jordanstone.

What craft do you work with? 

Jewellery, Metal Work (Silver, Gold)

 

What inspires you to work with this craft? 

The concept and inspiration for these designs have evolved through a series of observations and drawings of architectural and organic forms and their juxtaposition

How do you start your creative process?

They are fabricated using traditional techniques and experimenting with new ones. Details and patterns are integrated in the designs through the use of texture, shape and form, often incorporating precious and semi precious stones.
