Artist Statement

I found that working on the loom creating art pieces inspired by nature gave me solace and a strong appreciation for all simple things in life. My artwork is produced using traditional weaving techniques, tapestry details are applied to create contemporary art pieces.

My artwork is produced using traditional weaving techniques, tapestry details are applied to create contemporary art pieces.

What inspires you to work with this craft?

My work is inspired from the beautiful Irish landscape. My materials are locally sourced with some often using the wool sheared from our sheep.

How would you best describe your workspace and what tools could you not do without?

The materials used are all locally sourced with the local fleece being put through the process of being washed, carded and hand woven.
