Q&A
What craft do you work with?
I’ve worked with felting for nearly two years, my love of animals and creating a sustainable craft, I do 2 dimensional, 3 dimensional needlefelting & wet felt also
What inspires you to work with this craft?
It’s sustainable, eco friendly, I love to teach and pass on my knowledge, I like to create realistic animal sculptures
How do you start your creative process?
I start by stabbing a special needle into the wool and making a ball and then just keep adding and stabbing…very theraputic. The hardest part is making the animals look realistic and getting the dimension correct
How would you best describe your workspace and what tools could you not do without?
Chaotic! Wool everywhere . I couldn’t do without my trusted needles.
Are there new techniques you would like to try?
I’m learing all the time and looking at other artists work , I love to try make bags and hats, it on my long list
What have you learnt or the best advice you have received that you would like to share with fellow crafters?
I’ve learned to take my time and relax and trust the process. I’d like to incorporate some wood in my craft, maybe for display purposes
