I make mainly functional work, bowls and beakers, vases and jugs
What craft do you work with?
Ceramics – Clay
What inspires you to work with this craft?
My ceramic practice is influenced by the local geological formations in my area of east Scotland.
How would you best describe your workspace and what tools could you not do without?
Since 2022 when we built a wood fire kiln in Angus I have been learning about the best clays and glazes to exploit to fire and ash that develops with this type of firing
Are there new techniques you would like to try?
I am just returning from a mentorship in Portugal where I have learnt a lot about using porcelain in a wood fire kiln
