Form and shapes have always intrigued me. I’ve studied how the colours and the thickness of the glass can change the same form so that the perception of it becomes totally different.

Artist Statement

For years I cut the same round form in numerous of sculptures in different angles. And through this study I found a perfect form for me to work with. It is a shape that I keep coming back to.

What craft do you work with?

Glass

What inspires you to work with this craft?

By the sea, on the mountain and in the glass sculpture, that is the essence of what I want to mediate through my glass sculptures.

How do you start your creative process?

I want the viewer to find the same meditative condition, a source of inspiration and reflection when they look at my work.

Are there new techniques you would like to try?

I cut this shape open to get a more dynamic form and to reveal the colours on the inside. I started working with these forms and technique in 2002, and have continued working and developed them since.
