Artist Statement

Her work has been shown in art galleries and museums both in Denmark and internationally, and have worked with commercial brands like Kvadrat, Fritz Hansen, Epice , Kenzo, Fabula Living and Christiania Bikes. Her main focus is renewing the art of hand printing, and to make it relevant today.

Textiles – Printing – Dyeing

What inspires you to work with this craft? 

To save the craft from being a forgotten craft, by using the old printing techniques , and to bring the knowledge forward to the next generation.

How do you start your creative process?

The piece is handprinted with reactive dyes, discharge, and flock print

How would you best describe your workspace and what tools could you not do without?

She has a very well equipped workshop in the National Heritage Village Raadvad outside Copenhagen, where she prints her own collections, make pieces for exhibitions, and make workshops in colours, patterns and hand printing. She uses techniques like direct printing, discharge , mechanical reserve , chemical reserve, indigo printing etc.
