Q&A
Artist Statement
We were taken back by the “natural products” on the market. Through hundreds of hours of research, we realised that these products contained harmful substances, addictive chemicals and parabens. Pure Oskar offers natural products, made with responsibly sourced ingredients, packed in sustainable packaging, but most of all – memorable, quirky, and fun. I use best oils, butters, essential oils. I don’t use dyes, but natural colourants such as charcoal, clays and micas. |
What inspires you to work with this craft?
Through hundreds of hours of research, we realised that these products contained harmful substances, addictive chemicals and parabens. Goats milk is known for preventing premature ageing and can ease breakouts too. This is a fast acting soap that can be used equally well on your body and face to address acne, ageing and redness. It restores the PH balance in skin and has an amazing moisturising ability. I use a charcoal to add those extra cleansing properties. |
How do you start your creative process?
The process of making this bar of soap is called cold press and handmade from start to finish. I formulated all 4 soaps to tackle various skin problems and to nurture the skin. The packaging is beautify designed and sustainable at the same time. I use kraft paper for my gift boxes and no lamination. |
