Artist Statement

I aim to use materials that are on the edge by embracing the irregularity of wood that is so often discarded.

What craft do you work with? 

Wood Turning – Furniture Making – Sculptor

What inspires you to work with this craft? 

I merge the ideas of traditional furniture making such as the Windsor chair and woodturning rethought to create pieces that are more like three-dimensional art.

How do you start your creative process?

Working in wood allows me to explore the lost bond between humans and nature.

How would you best describe your workspace and what tools could you not do without?

The timber I work with is all locally felled and maintained within its native environment.
