Artist Statement

I use the needle in my machine like a pencil, drawing directly onto fabric. I have developed a technique of stitching with three different threads, which creates wonderful texture and a slight 3D effect. Free machine embroidery with printed textiles allows me to create unique artworks, and while a machine is used it is not pre-programmed therefore the hand of the maker is very much evident in the final piece.

How do you start your creative process?

I will stitch the printed fabrics together, building up layer by layer making small changes with every piece.
