Artist Statement

I love being creative, especially with clay

What craft do you work with?

I work mostly with ceramics. I use mostly my hands because I love how the clay feels in my hands, but I also use a few wooden tools. I started workning with clay In my first year at Oslo Metropolitan University.

What inspires you to work with this craft?

Clay-work gives me the possibility to have fun and being creative.

How do you start your creative process?

Searching for inspiration, it comes from nature, people, musuems or other artist. I always take pictures during the prosess so it is easy for me to see the devolpment in my work.

How would you best describe your workspace and what tools could you not do without?

I like to work with good space around me while listening to music, or in a workspace with other creative people.

What have you learnt or the best advice you have received that you would like to share with fellow crafters?

Do what you love and what feels right for you, but don’t be afraid of exploring and trying different things. You will never stop learning.
