Q&A
Artist Statement
I love to book match timber to really show off the grain.
What craft do you work with?
I only use timber that come from trees that were dead, dying or falling over.
What inspires you to work with this craft?
However, Irish walnut is one of my favourite timbers and I wanted to show off the beautiful book-match grain by joining these two pieces.
How do you start your creative process?
When creating a product I want it to be useful but beautiful
How would you best describe your workspace and what tools could you not do without?
In my everyday business I use beech timber as it is a great timber for chopping boards.
