Q&A

What craft do you work with?

As my work is associated with nature I am very close to the wooden materials. I started to make my wooden creations before 6 years and my decision to start, my first thought was about to have a more creative time for myself. As the years passed I decided to associate with the crafts of wood intensively and to put and promote my creations through my shop. All the techniques of wood are lovely but my favorite one is the wood curving and it is also something that I would like to learn more about it.

What inspires you to work with this craft?

The nature is my inspiration as well as the every day life and the need to find useful tools, furnitures and objects which help to every day life. My inspiration is my daughters, for whom i make my wooden crafts, creating furnitures for them to design their homes etc. I like to use wood with glass.

How do you start your creative process?
The creativity is something that I enjoy to have in my whole life. The wooden crafts is one of the things that make me feel more creative and active. I started to develop my skills on wooden crafts and to associate with that sector of crafts because I would like to create my own furniture in order to promote them through my shop, and because I have free time that I would like to make it interesting. There is no difficult part in the process of creating my crafts. Maybe the only problem is the missing access to all appropriate tools and not to the procedure, as I am very patient and I learn very fast.

How would you best describe your workspace and what tools could you not do without?

I have a very good place where I make my creations and it is very beautiful. My workspace has bookcases and selves with books about crafts. There is a desk where I design my crafts as well as pencils, brushes, markers, scissors, paper trimmer, etc. Moreover I have a big construction on the wall where all of my tools are placed, in order to be in an obvious view for me. All my tools are very important for my work and it depends on what I want to create each time.

Are there new techniques you would like to try?

Of course I would like to exchange ideas and techniques and would like to acquire new knowledge and make practice with new techniques.

What have you learnt or the best advice you have received that you would like to share with fellow crafters?

My dream is to learn how to use also good the liquid glass in order to make a combination with glass and wood as well as I would like to learn more about how I can use materials from nature. My crafter friends advice me to always get inspired and never stop to develop my skills and my dreams on crafts.
