Process & Production

Waste hair is laid onto tape and then passed through a sewing machine with a twin needle, flipped and sewn again.

The weft is folded so that all hair ends are together and the weft is passed through the machine to sew over the previous stitches.

The resulting weft can be spun to create a fluffy strand, or it can be sewn into a bias strip, in this example a bias strip of Sinamay is used.
