Culture & Context

Tempo is the speed of an action. Time is examined in the exhibition ‘Tempo’ through photography and architectural ceramics, where time and technique play a prominent role. Tools, equipment and mechanics used in the manufacturing process are interpreted in the project as a type of instruments in dialogue with an artistic expression. Worn and self-produced hand tools are used in the creative process, the tools are mounted as instruments on a wall examining the meeting between people and the environment, where the time dimension in processes is used as a poetic frame. The dividing lines between art and everyday life, hand tools, ceramic objects and surroundings are established and changed in new ways in the installation.

Porcelain casted in plaster forms. Tools used in the production mounted on the wall.
