Cast Glass in Glass

This is an experimental / research project combining two traditional forms of glass making. A cast glass face is encased within hot glass from a furnace as a means of expression. In depth understanding of glass behaviour in high temperatures is required to succeed in avoiding deformation of the internal form during the process of pouring hot glass. With the help of a skilled team glass temperatures can be sustained in appropriate levels in order to avoid the creation of stress in the glass.
