Process & Production

On a handloom with 16-hafts it is possible to weave in 8 layers. Making the layers switch places creates a construction that off the loom can unfold to a 3-dimensional piece. 8 carefully selected colors are chosen to emphasize the crossing of the layers. Colors and layers are seen through each other. 1200 threads of clear monofilament are used in the warp to achieve transparency and stiffness. Dyed linen is used in the weft.
