Culture & Context

I used DNA tables to make custom silk screen and also FBN1 which is the gene that Causes Marfan Syndrome.

Process & Production

I printed and painted on the glass then fired it and cut it into shapes then placed it over custom formers and fired again to slump into the curved shape.

I dont use glass enamels which would be the traditional way to paint on glass, i use underglaze normally used for ceramics, it has to be fired a little higher to get a shine but i find it works really well and is readily available  unlike the enamels.
