Glass: Standard Lead Glazing

Process & Production

First, I drew a pattern of cross lines on the DIN A4 stencil paper and then cut out the resulting rhombuses and triangles with stencil scissors. I then cut out white Artista glass in 4 bigger, 4 smaller triangles and 4 lozenges. Afterwards I cut strips of H-lead and leaded the glasses in the following order and nailed some of them down, with little wooden blocks, to prevent them from slipping. When I had finished inserting the lead strips, I cut off all the protruding strips with the lead knife. As a finishing touch I put a U-lead around the edge of the glazing. Then I smoothed out all the lead profiles with a reamer and pressed them on whit it. Finally I soldered all the lead crossings with a soldering iron.
