Culture & Context
The flower of life is a symbolic. The flower of life is one of the most recognized symbols in the ancient and modern world. The sacred geometric pattern consists of intersecting circles spaced evenly from each other that reveal an intricate pattern of overlapping symmetrical flowers.
Process & Production
The sample was made by using cheap wood material, in this sample pine. With a dark stain the surface gets a more expensive look. Afterwards an illustrator file was created with the pattern and sent to the laser printer. The visibility of the pattern depends on the depth the laser is set to. One finding was if laser was set more than one time the pattern became darker and less visible on the dark wood.
