Leno weave with boucle effect yarn

Experiment

The sample is woven on a dobby handloom using beads to create the leno effect. Leno weave creates an open transparent yet strong construction. The warp thread is a strong grey wool yarn. The weft alters between a fluffly boucle fancy yarn and a thin polyester thread in fluo yellow.
