Leno weave with multicolor wool

Experiment

The sample is woven on a dobby handloom using beads to create the leno effect. Leno weave creates an open transparent yet strong construction. In the warp three colors are used: dark blue, yellow and red. In the weft a clear blue wool is used. The result it a texture rich in colors.
