Leno weave with pattern

Experiment

The sample is woven on a 24-shaft dobby handloom using beads to create the leno effect. The pattern comes from combining leno weave with plain weave. Leno weave is more transparent than plain weave and a triangle pattern appears form area of leno weaving. The warp thread is a strong grey wool yarn. The weft is a combination of lime green wool and yellow polyester.
