Silkworm cocoons

Ethical Making

Traditional

Sericulture is an agricultural activity, silkworm farming in essence. Beside the breeding of silkworms, I deal with Eco printing, which is the process of dyeing with natural dyes on silk, linen, cotton and wool and not on synthetic fabrics. It is a process in which I imprint natural materials such as leaves and flowers, directly onto the silk fabric. Ingredients that do not harm the environment, do not leave a mark, do not pollute

Process & Production

I deal with eco printing, which I do on both cocoon and fabric. The cocoon is the result of breeding, it is the agricultural product that I get as a Sirotrofos. This is the essence of silk, with respiration of one cocoon you can produce about 1 to 1,5 kilometers of thread. But cocoons can also be used for making jewelry.
