Artist Statement
My work takes place experimentally, with the following subject areas as a starting point:
– the three-dimensional (basic for skulpur)
– colour/surface (basic for painting/drawing)
I use these fields as principles for utilization, and deepening is carried out within each area, and in combinations between them. The above-mentioned issues give me the opportunity to treat current / intersecting tension fields on the most free basis possible, so that prevailing conventions and aesthetic norms can be challenged.
What craft do you work with?
Ceramics
What inspires you to work with this craft?
It is important for me to further develop ceramic craft and technical methods, as these generate increasingly rich registers for new expressive solutions. Through the properties and radiance of the clay material, I make my own and personal artistic expressions visible. It is always about a kind of search and curiosity, and often about making groping and restless movements that contribute to upsetting the relationship between language and reality, so that reflection can be given new opportunities.
