Culture & Context

We live in a real world, but we often move in a virtual world. Tobias Eder shows the new virtual world printed on glass.

Process & Production

I create digital 3D objects and spaces in virtual rooms. With these elements I create an artistic composition. I make a rendering of this composition (similar to a screenshot). This motif is printed on glass with ceramic ink and then burned in. Sometimes several panes are printed differently with the split motif in order to achieve greater depth. The resulting work of art can be illuminated by ordinary daylight or from behind with LED panels.
