Mordant test strips on un-mordanted wool, silk and cotton painted with aluminium potassium sulfate (alum) mordant paste, alum and ferrous sulfate mordant paste combinations (95:5, 90:10, 80:20, 50:50 ratios) and ferrous sulfate mordant paste. Fixed with wheat bran and calcium carbonate. Dyed with Madder @ 100% WOF (weight of fibre).

Process & Production

Mordant test strips on un-mordanted wool, silk and cotton painted with aluminium potassium sulfate (alum) mordant paste, alum and ferrous sulfate mordant paste combinations (95:5, 90:10, 80:20, 50:50 ratios) and ferrous sulfate mordant paste. Fixed with wheat bran and calcium carbonate. Dyed with Madder @ 100% WOF (weight of fibre).

Other mordanted fabrics:
Cellulose – Two step mordanted with oak gall powder @12%WOF and alum @ 15% WOF
Protein – Alum @ 15%
Dyed with Madder @100% WOF
Ferrous sulfate post modification @ 2% WOF
