Process & Production

Two sets were made (1 at 650ºC and 2 at 700ºC) each with 3 samples that differed in proportion (1:0; 1:2 and 1:4).

Sodalite zeolite synthesis
1) A mixture of NaCl, Na2SO3 and Na-LTA zeolite (dried at 500ºC) was prepared.
2) It was placed in an alumina boat crucible and heated in an electric furnace at 900ºC for 1 hour with a reducing atmosphere of H2.
3) The quartz tube supplying the reducing atmosphere was kept at 850ºC, and the samples continued at room temperature.

Application to float glass
1) Lead frit was added to the sodalite mixture in the proportions of 1:0; 1:2; 1:4
2) Decoflux WB41 was added to the previous mixture (previously ground), using the quantity needed to obtain a painting consistency
3) and applied to a glass (previously cut and cleaned with HNO3 KOH and distilled water).
4) The samples were fired at 650ºC and 700ºC
