Q&A

Artist Statement

I prefer the Scottish traditional bullet teapot but am currently making a teapot based on a Korean design

What craft do you work with?

Metal – Working

What inspires you to work with this craft?

I’m especially attracted to Celtic chasing; the scope for decoration using this is huge.

How would you best describe your workspace and what tools could you not do without?

All that I make is hand made in my studio, using traditional methods, and usually sterling silver

Are there new techniques you would like to try?

I like to make hinged boxes; they can be a challenge.  Recently I’ve completed a tea strainer in a yellow and blue enamel bowl and a teapot.
