What inspires you to work with this craft?
The St Brigid Draped Skirt design I submitted is extra special to me as it is Inspired by St Brigid, the goddess of Fire, Ireland’s first female Saint and Harry Clarke stained glass window from St Mary’s church in Co Mayo. The print is in tribute and honour of St Brigid’s the goddess of fire, who is synonyms for song, craftsmanship and poetry, which the Irish considered the flame of knowledge. It is my mission to promote Ireland worldwide through wearable works of art that tell the story of Ireland. |
