Artist Statement

Inspired by one of the oldest textile techniques – weaving – and focused on designing ready-to-use products that don’t request any cut & sew process by the use of technical possibilities offered by the double fabric, I create textile surfaces with an experimental character

What inspires you to work with this craft?

To obtain the desired look and finish, I am supplementing the woven surfaces with other textile techniques such as felting and Ikat, Shibori or piece dyeing

Always paying attention to the elaboration of details on each piece, my work aims to harmonize an experimental and artistic approach to hand weaving.

How would you best describe your workspace and what tools could you not do without?

Natural yarns as well as botanical dyeing with plants and oats are at the core of my creative development.
