Theodoros Gkougkas

I was born in 1964 in Siatista, a small country town in West Macedonia, Greece. I studied Art Conservation at the Department of Applied Arts in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. While working in the private sector, I started my artistic journey from the beautiful town of Siatista. It's history and mansions were the way to visualize and think about what I had studied as an art conservator... Being an artist is a wonderful quality and a way of life, which is full of challenges and is aimed at people who wish to create and have variety in their lives.I have presented my artwork at solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. Among others, I have exhibited my works at: Shoetrees exhibition in Athens at the Cats and Μarbles Gallery, in Govaki, Exarchia, Athens, in the IANOS Bookstore of Thessaloniki, in the Neapolis-Sykeon Refugee Museum of Thessaloniki, in the Numismatic Museum of Athens, in the Gatto Perso Hotel. My works are in private collections abroad and in Greece.
