Traditional

Mordant test strips on un-mordanted wool, silk and cotton painted with aluminium potassium sulfate (alum) mordant paste, alum and ferrous sulfate mordant paste combinations (95:5, 90:10, 80:20, 50:50 ratios) and ferrous sulfate mordant paste. Fixed with wheat bran and calcium carbonate. Dyed with Alder cones @ 600% WOF (weight of fibre).
