Culture & Context

The cast iron gates and original cast iron lanterns at Elder Park in Govan were to be refurbished and restored. I used original catalogue drawings to recreate the lanterns and carved patterns for the gate refurbishments.

Process & Production

Pattern making, wood carving and construction. The wooden patterns are sent to the foundry, where they lift a sand mould before casting the iron.
