Process & Production
First the skins are washed with soap and water and then they are oil tanned. While the sample is drying it is softened.
Recipe Details
Recipe for 5 small skins:
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 ts dishwash soap (the small spoon)
- 1 dl olive or rapeseed oil
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Put the skins inn and massage the skins. Rolle them up in rolls and leave for 15 min. Hang the skins to dry in a warm room. Let the skins hang to dry for about 2 days. While it dries, rub it between your fingers to break the fibres and soften it up.
