Garvan de Bruir designs and makes a collection of leather bags at his Atelier in Kildare, Ireland.Kildare is famous for breeding world class thoroughbred racehorses. Alongside the horse racing industry, Kildare has a heritage of using leather for saddle and bridle making. Appreciating the strength and versatility of the local bridle leathers, Garvan de Bruir was inspired to initially use leather within his furniture designs and later in his collection of bags and accessories. The DE BRUIR Atelier now makes a collection of finely crafted Travel and Work Bags. The work is identifiable by the large portions of vegetable tanned used for the bodies. And the unique handle layout where the protective straps on the base of each bag, raise up to create a handle.
